Wangsa Walk Mall.

This post is specially dedicated to the newly opened Wangsa Walk Mall in my area. It’s not officially opened yet but there’s already few shops started their business already so yea, considered as opened also lar.

What to expect in this mall?

There’s TGIF (awesome!), Celebrity Fitness (good so next time I can sign up here instead), a bowling alley (also awesome!), Cold Storage (OMG yummy Nasi Goreng Kampung!) and last but not least, TGV cinema (not a TGV supporter but it’s still a cinema).

Not too bad lar kan for a tiny mall. LOL. I’m excited yaw. So I went last Sunday I think, just to look see look see a bit. Was super hungry so where else to go makan?

TGIF [WWE]

YUMMEHH!

Ryan & TGIF

the naughty boy. check him out with the flip-flops. Taught him how to wear one. Huahua.

Had a satisfying meal at TGIF no doubt. Service is also good. Only bad thing is they serve food pretty slow. Kitchen operation problem. =P The table beside us were complaining because they waited quite long for their food to arrive. LOL. After that, off we went inside the mall to walk around.

Just to show you guys how it roughly looked like:

Interior WW One

Mini Pavilion? Hahaha.

Interior WW Two

this section of the mall is the weirdest. The flooring is so suitable for roller-skating or skate-boarding. Or maybe you can try to slide down with your butt. Since it’s still new so the tiles are slippery. =P Get what I’m trying to say?

So yea. That’s it lor. Waiting for the rest to open. There’s a lot of small shops so I think it would be a nice place to shop next time, that’s if there’s lots of interesting stuffs to shop. And they sectioned the mall like any other malls, clothing one area, entertainment one area, IT one area etc. Pretty organized.

Edited – 17th November 2009

As of this date, Cold Storage and Celebrity Fitness has officially launched and there’s lots of people going into these places. Especially the gym. Hangat-hangat jer kott, just like last time when I’d first joined the gym. =P Cinema and bowling alley has yet to be opened but they’re working on it I guess. πŸ˜‰

Edited – 4th January 2010

Wangsa Walk Mall is pretty much complete with additional hot places like the bowling alley and the new pet store. LOL. What’s left for the big stuff? Definitely the cinema. And oh, they’ll be an arcade for the kids too. πŸ˜€

Random for the day:

Mid Valley Raya Deco

Went to the gym today, saw this Raya deco. I loved it! Very kampung-ish feel. DUH isn’t it obvious? Haha. Sometimes I wish I have kampung to go to. Out of the city and feel the nature for a while would be nice right? πŸ˜‰

Hi! I came across ur blog while searching for the map.Do u know which road to take if I’m coming from MRR2 Bandar Tasik Selatan? Is the Wangsa Walk Mall after the Tesco Ampang or before it? Thx…

      Hi Charmaine.
      Thanks for the comment.

Anyway, yes it would be easier if you use the MRR2. It is AFTER Tesco Ampang (The Tesco should be on your left). Go further straight passing through Ampang area and also Setiawangsa etc.

Go straight until you see a Giant supermarket on your left (it’s quite huge so pretty noticeable), after you see Giant, keep left and follow the sign saying “Wangsa Maju”.

The moment you turned into the junction, you’ll be at a traffic light. Turn left at the traffic light and you’ll be already in the Wangsa Maju area. If I’m not mistaken there are already signs around to lead you to Wangsa Walk.

Or maybe you can try searching for Carrefour Wangsa Maju. Wangsa Walk is located right behind it.

      Hope it helps. πŸ™‚

Hey there Malik. Thanks for the comment. πŸ˜‰
BTW, regarding the gym, I don’t think it is opened yet. Cause at the time I went, I don’t see a single ‘shadow’ of the gym. Should take a while. LOL.

I heard that the mall is officially opening during Raya though. Well, rumours. LOL. We’ll see.

Hey Feyz thanks for the comment.
Yea I’ve been to the karaoke once and I gotta say it’s pretty decent. I was impressed by the touch screen directory actually. πŸ˜€ However the one thing I hated is the sound proof system is REALLY bad though.

LOL. Not sure about TGV either. πŸ˜€
